Static Brochure Website
A static website is made up of a fixed number of pre-built HTML files.
During this exchange, the web server does not alter the files before they are displayed to the user, so the web page will look the exact same to everyone who requests it. The content is “static” — the only way to change how the website looks is by manually changing the coding of the files.
There is no software behind these websites to add, edit or delete content. Essentially it is a glorified brochure online. In most cases, a static website isn’t the best option as it really doesn't provide any real value to a company or consumer.
The advantage to a static website really is cost and that is pretty much it. You can have one designed for a couple thousand dollars and hosting and email typically is less than $100/monthly to operate. Essentially it is cheaper than going out for dinner once a month.
This option is for companies that really have no intention of using online in their business, but just need an "online business card" so to speak.
